Welcome to The Micro Gardener
Hi, I’m Anne. Would you love an abundant garden that feeds your mind, body and soul? That provides fresh ingredients, healing herbs, and foods to nourish your well-being? My passion is to help you ‘grow good health’ and design a space that meets your needs.
21 years ago I was diagnosed with cancer. I’m SO glad! Why? That experience was the catalyst for reclaiming my health and an eye-opening learning journey. I discovered how to prevent dis-ease in the body and make conscious choices to support healing and ongoing vitality using food as medicine. Knowing how to feed yourself is a vital life skill. It’s incredibly empowering to be self-sufficient and live sustainably. Knowing we can grow our own food, heal ourselves from the garden and find peace and joy, even in a tiny space. I invite you to hear my story …
As a passionate organic gardening consultant and wellness advocate, I aim to ‘connect the dots’ between living soil, mineralised plants and human health. I share the important stuff they should teach everyone at school! Over the past 15 years, I’ve presented hundreds of workshops and talks, shared weekly herb and vegetable tips on ABC Radio Sunshine Coast, written for many publications and been a contributing writer for Garden Culture Magazine since 2013. I assist people globally in growing nutrient-dense foods and learn to use plants as medicine for healing. 🌿
I help people grow vibrant, nutrient-packed food even in the smallest of spaces - turning tiny gardens into joy-filled havens of abundance. My goal? To make your journey easier and more rewarding by sharing practical shortcuts and valuable insights that set you up for success, without the frustration of trial and error. 😊

What you can expect from me as a writer
Welcome to a space where originality thrives! Here, you’ll find genuine thoughts, personal experiences, and carefully researched articles, always crafted from the heart and with intention. The words you read are mine, not AI-generated, and the images I share come from my own photography, client gardens, places I’ve visited, or occasionally open-source collections. I offer deep connection with Nature, truth, food for thought, inspiration, practical information and transparency.
In a time when automated content is everywhere, I’m committed to keeping it real. I won’t be mass-producing articles to chase likes or subscribers - I value quality over quantity and respect you too much to do otherwise. Instead, I aim to bring you 2-3 thoughtful monthly pieces, filled with depth, insight, and originality.
Thank you for being here and for appreciating authentic storytelling in a digital world.
What CAN you expect? A writing style full of vivid analogies - because that’s simply how I think, speak, and teach. I love digging deep into the link between plants, soil, and human health, uncovering fascinating insights that I can’t wait to share. Research is a passion, and I take pride in bringing you valuable discoveries.
With an artistic background, I weave colour, icons, and meaningful quotes into my storytelling. My love for close-up photography and micro gardening adds another layer, capturing often overlooked details that make nature and learning come alive.
